How to add the xmp4 - Semantic code knowledge for your stack MCP server to Cursor
Server URL: https://mcp.example4.ai/mcp
Sign-in: No sign-in. Paste the URL and it connects.
Our hands-on result: Works 7 of 7 tasks passed, tested Oct 17, 2026 with MCP TypeScript SDK (reference client).
Cursor setup
File: ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project)
{
"mcpServers": {
"ai-example4-xmp4": {
"url": "https://mcp.example4.ai/mcp"
}
}
}- Save the file. The server shows a green dot in Cursor Settings, then MCP.
We ran the hands-on test in a reference client, not in Cursor. This config follows Cursor's documented format for remote (Streamable HTTP) servers. If it fails for you, tell us and we will retest.
