How to add the Cloudflare Docs MCP server to Claude Code

Claude Code setup

claude mcp add --transport http cloudflare-docs https://docs.mcp.cloudflare.com/mcp

1. Run the command, then run claude mcp get cloudflare-docs to confirm it connected.

We ran the hands-on test in a reference client, not in Claude Code. This config follows Claude Code's documented format for remote (Streamable HTTP) servers. If it fails for you, tell us and we will retest.

Known problems and fixes

• MCP tool results too large: context window blown by one call
• MCP tool call times out on slow servers
• MCP error -32601 Method not found on resources/list
