How to add the GitMCP (generic docs endpoint) MCP server to Cursor

1. Save the file. The server shows a green dot in Cursor Settings, then MCP.

We ran the hands-on test in a reference client, not in Cursor. This config follows Cursor's documented format for remote (Streamable HTTP) servers. If it fails for you, tell us and we will retest.

Known problems and fixes

• MCP tool call times out on slow servers
• GitMCP returns "No documentation found."
